David Mlsna Obituary

David Charles Mlsna March 26, 1947 - April 26, 2011 David Charles Mlsna 64, of Grand Junction, CO passed away from a heart attack on April 26, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. David was born March 26, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Carl and Marion Mlsna. He grew up in Wisconsin, attended Catholic School and graduated from Assumption High School. He joined the Marine Corps at age 18 in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1967. He worked for Pepsi Co. and Western Filament before becoming disabled from a back injury in 1998. He has been married to Linda Harms, Connie Peterson and Norma Salaz and divorced three times. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, listening to the police scanner, helping his friends and spending time with his grandchildren. His wishes were to have his remains scattered on his hunting grounds. David is survived and missed by brother, Phillip Mlsna (Mary) and sister, Valerie Luddington (Sam) both of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and sister, Carolyn Hass of Oshkosh WI; daughter, Laurie Valencia, granddaughter, Chrystal Paul-Valdez (Raymond); great grandchildren, Marylynn and Raymond Jr. Valdez. He will also be missed by his close friends who include Armando Olivas and Tim Skau. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marion Mlsna; daughter, Christine and son, Kevin both of his first marriage and brother-in-law, Clifford Hass. Arrangements are being made by Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Graveside services with military honors will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday May 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
