Ellen Bell Woolman July 7, 1942 – July 11, 2013 Ellen was born July 7, 1942, to Cecil Faye Glenn and Stella May Hilbert Glenn. She grew up in Yuma, CO, and attended the Yuma High School, where she graduated. Ellen went to College in Sterling, to become an LPN, and was in nursing for 40 years before retiring because of back problems. She loved taking care of people. She married Stanley Meek, who is now deceased. There were step-children, Fred and Shellie. She married Rev. Al Woolman, August 14, 1983. There were three step-children, Kirk Woolman, Eric Woolman, and Kathy (Woolman) Kronhofman. There are numerous nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. There were three brothers and one sister, Kenney Glenn (deceased) and wife, Arlene; Austin (deceased) and wife, Rose Ann; Lydia and husband, Richard Fitizsimons, and Jim Glenn and wife, Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Stella, and her brothers, Austin and Kenney Glenn. Ellen was a strong member and supporter of the Palisade United Methodist Church, her husband, and their ministry; for 30 years, come August 14, 2013. She was a very loving and caring person. She always had a smile and a hug for you; she was a great hugger. Ellen was also a very good cook; just ask Al. He said she made him supper once, during courtship, and he has been coming for supper, ever since. Now, he will miss those great meals and hugs, and very loving times they had together. She was my best friend and the greatest person I ever knew. She will be greatly missed, but, her love will always be with us. I thank God for the time I had with her. In place of flowers, please leave a memorial gift to the Palisade United Methodist Church. Services were entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home.
