Mark Eugene Thompson, USAR November 30, 1952 – December 6, 2012 After 60 years of dedication to friends and family, Mark passed unexpectedly in his home in Kingman, Arizona. Mark was born on November 30, 1952, in Salem, Oregon. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at various open pit copper mines in Arizona. He was an avid Bronco fan regardless of where he lived. He is survived by his loving parents, Patricia Thompson and Harold Thompson of Grand Junction, Colorado; brothers, Chris of Bullfrog, UT; Brad and Randy of Grand Junction, and Thomas of Salem, Oregon. Mark was preceded in death by his baby sister, Bernadette Marie and brothers, Lon (USMC), and Barry (USMC). A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 D Road, Grand Junction, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Mark's name to the Homeward Bound of the Grand Valley, 2853 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
