Richard Lindsey May 4, 1946 – September 27, 2012 Richard was a resident of Grand Junction. Cancer overtook his life Thursday, September 27, at his home. He was 66. Richard was native to Colorado. He was born and raised in Durango, son of LoVisa and Ray Lindsey. He graduated Durango High and then headed off to college which landed him in California. He lived and worked in California for many years and then returned to Colorado with his wife, where they spent the last ten years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Heather Jensen, and granddaughter, Albettina of Chino, California; daughter, Tiffany Purdum; her husband, Willard, and granddaughter, Isabelle of Kodiak, Alaska; stepdaughter, Stephanie Desmond and her daughter, Megan. Richard was retired at the time of his death. He enjoyed time with his family, working in the garden, camping, fishing, and exploring the beautiful Colorado countryside. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. There will be no memorial services at this time. The family would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care for the care they provided to Richard and the family.
