Robert G. Raabe March 12, 1925 – January 24, 2013 Robert was born on March 12, 1925 to George C. and Frances K. Raabe in Chicago, IL. Robert was a retired geologist and Marine. He entered the Marine Corps after high school and served in the South Pacific. After WWII he graduated from the University of New Mexico, where he played football. He then re-enlisted for the Korean War. After the Korean War he received a Masters in Geology from the University of Arizona. He worked for various entities both at home and abroad, ending his geological career as a consultant. He always kept up his reserve duties, including Captain of the USMCR pistol team. After more than 31 years, he retired as a Colonel. He was an avid tennis player and an accomplished watercolorist. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margaret Raabe, and daughter, Ann Raabe.
