Jim Burks Moore October 5, 1949 – March 24, 2012 Jim Burks Moore was born October 5, 1949, in Porterville, CA to Willie B. and Ada Marie Moore. Jim joined older brother, Sherman and half-brothers, Carl and Gayle Cashion. When Jim was about three, the family moved to Flag, AR to farm. The droughts of 1952, 53, and 54, turned the family back to Porterville, CA. Jim's father was hired by Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad. His job was to make the road that ran alongside the railroad which involved moving all the time. The boys would move every two or three weeks making learning hard. Then, they would stay in one place to be able to learn but the family needed Dad, so they would move again. The family lived in CA, AZ, and NM. Thank you to all the Home Health nurses and especially Heidi, the Pavilion Oncology staff, especially Michah, Dr. Young, and Dr. Holliday. They made these last months much easier. Thank you to Hospice for giving him a peaceful environment. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012, at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Oklahoma with burial in the Tribbey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the , P.O.
