John Leo Black

John Leo Black May 20, 1946 – September 17, 2013 John Leo Black went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2013. John was a native of Williams, AZ having been born to Leo and Vera (Goss) Black on May 20, 1946. John attended Williams schools and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War before graduating from Northern Arizona University. John had a career in law enforcement first with Arizona Dept. of Public Safety, then with Coconino County Sheriff's Dept., and most recently with National Park Service in Nevada. John was living in Grand Junction at the time of his death. He is survived by his daughter, Jonell (Chris) Massey; two granddaughters, Taylor, and Hayden; grandson, Wyatt; two sisters, Cokie Walker, and Jackie Puckett and their families as well as numerous extended family members.
