Norman "Norm" Lincoln was a devoted husband, supporting father, dependable family man and in all things driven to leave the world better than he found it.
He died after struggling with illness for several years.
He was the son of Jess Lincoln and Ella Mae Young and born in Loyalton, CA.
He spent his early adulthood working across California. After moving to Colorado, Norman met his wife Doreen, 61. Immediately, they found kindred spirits in each other and forged a deep bond that would last 32 years and bring two sons, Erik, 29, and Brian, 26, eight dogs and a cat.
His coworkers, neighbors and family remember Norm as not just dependable for anything but also as a tinkerer, obsessed with doing everything the best he could.
He worked for Elam Construction for a quarter of a century, starting as a laborer and rising through the ranks to become a foreman, surveyor and superintendent in addition to holding many other job titles.
In addition to his wife and sons, Norman is survived by six brothers, Eddie of Sacramento, CA; Richard of Oroville, CA, and Roger of Greenville, CA; Gary Lincoln of Fort Meyers, FL; Charles Young of Arvada and Donny Young of Palisade; and one sister, Lynette Talbott of Palisade.
