May your light forever shine upon us as you transcend into someone greater, and we go on through the life we live here on earth. May blessings be upon your soul and your family, and our beloved Tau Beta Sigma Sorority you put your heart into. May your love live through us and music forever! Thank you, and we love you Wava!

Wava Henry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, but she was so much more. The world of college bands owes so much to her pioneer spirit that paved the way for the powerful women in the world of music today. And those of us in Tau Beta Sigma will always be thankful for her ingenuity and spirit that allowed us to share in the Sisterhood she founded.

I had the good fortune to meet you once, at National Convention 1989. I remember you as warm with a wicked sense of humor. Tau Beta Sigma was a big part of my success in college, so thank you! (Please say HI to George Parks when you get there; he'll show you the ropes).

Of all of my memories of Tau Beta Sigma, meeting and talking with Wava is by far one of the few that I will hold in my heart for a long time to come. Her dedication to women in music and college bands is such a fantastic example of not only what a sister should be, but how we should live our lives. I so look forward to sharing with future sisters a little bit of what Wava was like and the lessons that I learned from her. Thank you so much, Wava.

Wava was a huge inspiration in my life I try every day to be a better person and live by the values of Tau Beta Sigma. Her memory will live on in every sister she touched and in the future of Tau Beta Sigma. I had the honor of meeting her and talking with her about her passion for music and the advancement of women in music. I will remember her and tell every future sister I meet about how amazing she was. I hope she is enjoying that great sorority in the sky. M.O.T.S.
