Stanley B. Hooker May 6, 1932 – November 4, 2012 Stanley Hooker was born to Bryan and Etta Hooker in Denver, Colorado on May 6, 1932. He spent his childhood in the Summit County Mountains and attended the Breckenridge Schools. Stanley served in the Air Force from January, 1951 through October, 1954. He fought in the Korean War. While stationed in San Antonio, Texas, he married Maggie Mann. Together they had three children; they later divorced. On February 7, 1976, Stanley married Wanda Cummins of Collbran. They built a home and lived in Molina for a short time. They lived the remainder of their years in Palisade. Stanley spent a great deal of his life as a fruit grower and farmer. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and family. He loved revisiting the Summit County area and has several good friends from that area. Stan is survived by his wife, Wanda of Palisade; daughters, Denise (Ed) Boss of Clifton; Debra (Al) Johnsen of Grand Junction; step-sons, Kim (Debbie) Cummins of Loveland; Gary Cummins of Dodge City, KS; brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Hooker of Isante, MN; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Bryan Hooker. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
