Dennis L. McPherson November 23, 1964 - December 16, 2012 Dennis passed to the next level of his journey, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones who cared and shared his life. His love for Colorado and all of its wonders supported his compassion for youth who had lost their way. His moto was learned from an esteemed colleague, "Do-it-Go". Twenty five years of employment in the Grand Valley included Grand Junction High School as a Job Coach for students with disabilities; Gateway Youth and Family Services as Advocate Program Coordinator; Hilltop Opportunity Center as Aftercare Resource Coordinator, and Ariel Clinical Services as a Behavioral Skills Coach and Youth Advocate. A service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Palisade Church of The Nazarene, located at 3595 Front Street, Palisade, Colorado. We would like to have friends and family share memories after the service. Dennis is survived by his loving life partner, Sara Suazo; parents, Howard and Jackie McPherson of Palisade; his sister, Debra (Gary) Rhizor of Port Orchard, WA;, and brother, Daniel McPherson of Grambrills, MD. He is also survived by his many friends and his music partner, Mark Hinkle. Together, they have supported Mesa County by private benefit concerts to help all of those in need. He is now resting and at great peace with God.
