Danny D. Cotten
February 26, 1940 - March 1, 2015
Hotchkiss, Colorado resident Danny D. Cotten passed away at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, CO, on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was 75.
There will be a funeral service held for Danny at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Hotchkiss High School in Hotchkiss, Colorado with an internment to follow at Garden of Memories in Crawford, Colorado. John Vandenberg, Brad Holman and Jim Price will be officiating. A public luncheon will follow at Hotchkiss High School.
Danny was born on February 26, 1940, to Clyde D. and Bertha Z. (Dodge) Cotten in Paonia, Colorado. He spent his childhood in Crawford, Black Mesa, and Crystal Creek. He went to school in Crawford and graduated in 1958. He has resided in Hotchkiss for the past 35 years.
On July 1, 1960, Danny married Nola Belle Cruse in Delta, Colorado.
Danny was a member of a nondenominational faith that meets in homes. He was part of the Hotchkiss Crawford Historical Society. His interest included hunting and history.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Nola Belle (Cruse) Cotten from Hotchkiss, Colorado; his two sons, Mick (Dawna) Cotten, and Kent Leon Cotten, both of Hotchkiss, Colorado; his three daughters, Dana (Jordan) Bogue of Grand Junction, Colorado; Nila (Bob) McCuaig of Post Falls Idaho, and Cari (Todd) Coston of Bakersfield, California, and two sisters, Nita Brandon and Bonnie (Gary) Hess both of Crawford, Colorado. Danny is further survived by 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde D. and Bertha Z. Cotten
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
