Grant David Geske

Dr. Grant David Geske, of Ozark, Alabama, 51, died while at work of natural causes.
Grant was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Gerald and Judith Geske. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1983. Grant attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and then went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While in an Ophthalmology Residency in Flint, Michigan, he married Eva Hinojosa, but later divorced after 16 years.
Upon graduation Grant joined his father, Dr. Gerald K. Geske, in his Ophthalmology practice in Grand Junction, additionally working with his brother, Todd C. Geske, at the Orchard Optical. Later he moved to Alabama, eventually working at Crosby Optical in Ozark, Alabama.
Grant enjoyed outdoor activities, body building, visiting with family and friends, and going on overseas eyecare missions to Mexico and Honduras.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Judith Geske; children, Gage Geske, Nolan Geske, and Lanie Geske all of Grand Junction, CO; sister, Gail Wolf of Chicago, IL, and brother, Todd Geske of Denver, CO.
Visitation will take place from 6 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, with the Celebration of Life services at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, also at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
