Charles Leonard Grimm Obituary
Charles Leonard Grimm, age 86, of Yuba City, and formerly of Grimes, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2014, in Marysville. He was born on January 19, 1927, in Grimes, California to John and Grace (Moss) Grimm. Mr. Grimm served in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and 1946. He worked as an Insurance Agent for 25 years, starting out as a partner before becoming the sole owner of Merrill Insurance Agency.

Leonard was a 50 year Mason, member of the York Rite bodies, past Master of Colusa Lodge, an Eagle Scout, assistant scout master for Boy Scouts Troop 8, in Grimes, past board member of Grand Island Cemetery and Grimes Water District, past Grand Juror in Colusa, active in Colusa County 4-H, both as a 4-H leader and Colusa County Council Member, and was a former member of Shriners and Rotary Club.

Mr. Grimm is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Marilyn (Waltz) Grimm of Yuba City, sons, Paul (Maria) of Granite Bay, and Rob (Dee) of Pasadena, grandsons, Todd (Erin), Colin, Matthew, and Nicholas, and sister, Lucille Roberts.

A chapel service was held on Monday, January 20, at 12 Noon, at Sierra View Mortuary. Committal followed at Sierra View Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817.
