Carol Binninger Hamon of Yuba City passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Born in 1930 in Marysville to Charles and Aileen Binninger, Carol attended elementary school, high school and junior college in Marysville. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Hamon, on September 28, 1952. Carol and Bill had been friends since first meeting in kindergarten and shared 55 wonderful years as husband and wife.

Together, the couple owned Bill Hamon Toyota and Midvalley Leasing; and they were very active in the business communities of Marysville and Yuba City. Carol and Bill travelled extensively, making friends wherever they visited. They loved entertaining and had a gift of hospitality, sharing their home and cabin with family and friends.
Carol was a member of Alpha Sigma, Peach Tree Golf and Country Club, two Bridge Clubs, and The Riding Club. She was very kind to all and a generous philanthropist who contributed to many charities and organizations.
Carol is survived by her sister Amy Phillips (Carl), her cousins Peggy Mead and Larry Conger, her sister-in-law Betty Thompson, her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her many godchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Aileen Binninger, her brother Edwin (Bud) Binninger, and her beloved husband Bill Hamon.

A private inurnment ceremony will be held at Sutter Cemetery for family and close friends on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 3:00p.m. A memorial service for Carol will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 730 D Street, Marysville, to be followed by a celebration of life reception at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club.
