Ercil McWilliams Obituary
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 5, at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont.
Ercil Lynn McWilliams, 75, of Dumont passed away Wednesday (March 3, 2010), at his home in Dumont. He was born on June 24, 1934, in Aredale to Alfred and Velma (Ebling) McWilliams. Ercil graduated from Dumont Community School.
He was united in marriage to Sylvia Silver on Jan. 25, 1961, in Aredale, she preceded him in death. Ercil then married Mary Lou Buls on June 21, 1997, in Greene.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his daughters, Sheri McWilliams (Willie Dawson) and Shayna (Gary) Franken; stepdaughters, Judi (Kenny) Arjes and Joan (Don) Heuer; grandchildren, Alfred Weichers, Quincy, Tiffani, Morgan, Cecily and Tatiana McWillams and Shawn Franken; step- grandchildren, Kate (Brian) Graham, Kelly Arjes, Erin Heuer and Lucas Heuer; great-grandchildren, Mya McWilliams, Aleesia McWilliams-Booth and Xavier McWilliams; stepgreat-grandchildren, Shelby Sandoval, Austin Graham and Caleb Graham; sister, Loyce (Bob) McCarter, stepsister, Myrtle Felkner and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ercil was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia McWilliams in 1996; son Eric McWilliams in 1989; parents Alfred McWilliams and Velma Byers; step-mother Florence McWilliams and brothers Corliss and Max McWilliams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, the Round Grove Country Club in Greene or the Aredale Center of the United Methodist Church.

We are thinking of you at this difficult time. We have good memories of the times when Ercil, and sometimes Sylvia, stopped to visit us in IN during his hobby trips delivering the Class A motorhomes.
We appreciate all of the kindnesses he showed my parents, especially to Mom after Dad's death.
