The night of graduation, he left to serve his country with the Air Force for four years. Kenny loved to enjoy the outdoors, especially if it involved fishing on the Mississippi River or close to his home in Clear Lake.
One of Mr. Dixon's favorite pastimes was making new friends wherever he happened to be and conversations with these newly-formed acquaintances came easy. This served him well during his16 years of co-ownership and operation of his automobile dealership in Clear Lake.
In his younger years, he greatly enjoyed dancing with his wife and Polka music always got his feet moving.
Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karlene Akers Dixon; one son, Chad Dixon and wife Cheri, and granddaughter, Kimberly Dixon of Humble, Texas; sisters, Janet Lane of Mason City, Marlene Rague and her husband, Roger, of Sun Lake. Ariz., Geraldine Pacheco and her husband, Able, of Thornton, Colo., and Diane Simmons of Parker, Colo.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Kenny in High School. Always had a laugh with him.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Kenny. He, I and Orlyn Reindl boarded the passenger train out of Manly on May 19, 1957, for our basic training at Lackland AFB. I have not seen or heard from him since our six week training period ended. We enjoyed training together, even though it was very hot during that period. My sympathies to the family.
