Townes Funeral Home is a colonial brick building located at 215 West Main Street, at the corner of West Main and Stuart Street, in the Old West End Historic District. Parking is available at our front and side entrance, as well as our parking lot in the rear of building. Handicap parking is at our side and chapel entrance. Family owned and operated since 1892. From Durham, NC and Chapel Hill, NC – Stay on Rt. 86 North to Danville until you come to the West Main Street Exit, take this exit and turn right off of exit ramp, funeral home will be first building on left at corner of West Main Street and Stuart Street.
From Lynchburg, VA – Stay on Rt. 29 South, take Danville-Blairs Exit, stay on Rt. 29, (will become also Rt. 86 South and Central Blvd.) when you come to the West Main Street Exit, take this exit, the funeral home will be immediately in front of you when you come off exit ramp at the corner of West Main Street and Stuart Street.
