Evelyn Light Obituary
Evelyn Overby Light of 640 Sunset Road, Pelham, NC died on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Evelyn was born on July 19, 1944 in Reidsville, NC to the late Robert Jackson Overby and the late Beulah Evans Overby. She attended Rockingham County and Ruffin Schools. She worked for Dollar General Stores.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Wayne Light, Sr. of the home, two sons, Larry Wayne Light, Jr. and wife Renee of Pelham, NC and Jerry Wayne Light of Pelham, NC, one daughter, Tonya Light Myers and husband Robert of Pelham, NC, five grandchildren, Crystal Milkowski and husband Jeff of Danville, VA, Kristin Light of Pelham, NC, Ariana Light of Pelham, NC, James Light of Pelham, NC, and Patrick Myers, of Pelham, NC, and two great-grandchildren, Jeffery Milkowski and Madison Milkowski.
She is also survived by three brothers, Duane Overby and wife Jenette of Ruffin, NC, Gerald W. Overby of Ruffin, NC, and Ronald J. Overby and wife Jackie of Ruffin, NC. Evelyn was predeceased by one brother, Elemer Lee Overby.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Lively Stones Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelham, NC with the Reverend J.B. Baldridge officiating. The family will be at the residence of the daughter, Tonya Light Myers, 1059 Lovelace Road, Pelham, NC.

Larry, Renee and little James, I am so sorry to hear about your mother and little James' grandmother. I am glad I got to meet her and have her visit in my home. I will always remember her seeing Little James off and her hugs and kisses to him. I know he will miss her and all of your family as well. May God bless each of you.
