Mervin Andrew Ermatinger
Mervin Andrew Ermatinger, 69, of 2901 Sandy Creek Rd, Dry Fork, Va died Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 23, 1941 in Keshena, Wisconsin to the late Earl Andrew Ermatinger and the late Jane Irving Ermatinger. He owned and operated Merv's Tree Care for over 40 years, and was married to Patricia Foster Ermatinger, of the residence, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Misty Ermatinger and Stormy Ermatinger, both of the residence, one son: Christopher Ermatinger of Arlington, VA, one sister: Yvonne Perez, of Keshena Wisconsin, one brother: Robert Ermatinger of Evart, Michigan and four grandchildren: Skylar Ermatinger, Andrew Payne, John Ermatinger, Jr., and Nathaniel Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by one daughter: Amber Ermatinger, and one son: John Ermatinger.
A Life Celebration will be held 6:00pm Friday Sept. 2, 2011 at the residence.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Danville Cancer Society, 2323 Riverside Drive, Danville, VA 24540

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry for the loss you are experiencing Patricia. I had only spoke with Mervin a few times but I know what special person he was just by the way you and Andy spoke of him. Please know that anything you or Andy may need,all you have to do is let me know. Take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. Mervin is with God and they will watch over you.

Merv you were always a giving person, you would give of your time for your family first and your friends. There will never be another Merv, they broke the mold when they made u. You will be missed by so many people, u touched everyone in some way or another. Life still has to go around everyday but know there will be friends and family there for your beautiful wife and kids if they need us, God Bless all of you and we still got some great memories of your husband pat, and ur kids. Merv, you were an awesome man. I know Chris looked up to you and Patricia leaned on you. You were solid as a rock. Yes, you could be intimidating in stature, but you were soft-spoken and hard working with such a kind heart. I'm glad I got to know you and hope that you are finally resting in peace.

I've lost my best friend. I would always say you were my eyes and I was your ears and between us we made 1 pretty good person. Merv was always there to lend a hand. No matter how much he was suffering, he always wanted to know how you were doing. He was the best brother-in-law. We loved him and he will be missed.
