RAYMOND MARKS Obituary
Raymond H. "Spike" Marks, 58, of Callands, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in the Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Akron, Ohio on February 7, 1954 to the late Richard Duanne Marks and the late Beulah Duell Marks. He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Ruby G. Marks of the home; three daughters, Sonya Roher (Barry) of Callands, Va., Angela Andrews (Charles) of Sedley, Va and Shanda Ayers (Scott) of Callands, Va; eight grandchildren, Sebastian, Brittany, Jericho, C. J., Zachary, Ethan, Nick and Cori; one brother, William J. Marks (Donna) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one nephew, one niece, two great nephews, three great nieces and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Martinsville Church of Christ, 2229 Old Chatham Road, Martinsville, VA 24112. Information supplied by Bassett Funeral Service. Sign the guest book at www.GoDanRiver.com

"Ruby, I heard from Rhonda of the passing of Spike - just how fragile life can be. I am sorry for your loss. The boat, "Virginia Girl" in in good hands with me here in Hudson, WI. Spike knew what he was doing with engines. He was a master mechanic in the truest sense. He will be missed as he was a good man. "
