George E. Little, age 96, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, formerly of Edwardsville, died at 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. He was born January 7, 1916, in Edwardsville, Illinois, the son of the late George E. and Gertrude (Stubbs) Little.

George worked as an Appraiser for the Army Corps of Engineers for 40 years before retiring. He married Evelyn Stolze on May 25, 1938, in Assumption, Illinois. Evelyn preceded him in death on February 26, 1997.
George is survived by four sons, Thomas "Tom" Little of Granite City, Illinois, Patrick "Pat" Little of Marthasville, Missouri, Michael "Mike" Little and wife Carrie of Belleville, Illinois, and James "Jim" E. Little and wife Denise of Crown Point, Indiana; two daughters, Ann Luttrell of Glen Carbon and Sue Molla and husband Christopher of Edwardsville; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by one son, Robert "Bob" Little; one brother, William Little; and three sisters, Jesse Siegel, Frances Kurman, and Mary Parilee Little.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Edwardsville and the Elks Club in Belleville.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville with Deacon Dan Corbett officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
