Eugene Prange Obituary

Eugene A. Prange, age 88, of Newton Centre, Mass., native of New Douglas, died on Feb. 12, 2006, in Boston, Mass.

He was born the son of the late August and Eugenia Livingston Prange.

He is survived by a sister: Virginia Burns and husband, Martin of Dickinson, Texas; a brother: James Prange and wife, Laura of Hardin; sister-in-law: Mary Prange of Keaau, Hawaii; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and William Prange.

Mr. Prange was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and the University of Illinois. He was a veteran of the service, serving during World War II as an intelligence officer based in England. After the war he attended Harvard University. He was a rese a rch mathematician at Air Force Cambridge Research Laborat ory until r etiring.

Graveside services wil l begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 2, at New Douglas Ce metery with Rev . Mark Sidney officiating.

Memorials are sugge s ted to the Edwardsville Public Library.

Lesicko F uneral Home in New Douglas is in charge of arrang ements.
