Ruby Ogle Obituary

Ruby F. (Walker) Ogle, age 89, of Collinsville, died at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville.
She was born on Thursday, Jan. 19, 1922, in Shelbyville, Mo., the daughter of the late Elijah and Edith Dorsett Walker.
She married Carl Edward Ogle Sr. on Oct. 4, 1941. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Carl Edward Ogle Jr. of Collinsville; two brothers, John (Grayce) Walker of South Bend, Ind. and William Dorsett of Tillamook, Ore. She is also survived by her dearly loved grandchildren, Mark, Sally, Michael and Karla and her great grandchildren, Troy, Alec, Katie, Emily, Blake and Collin.
Ruby retired as a manager from Montgomery Ward in Collinsville. She was very active being a member of Anderson Hospital Auxiliary, the Arlington Women's Golf League, Beta Sigma Fi Women's organization, Priscilla's Circle at First United Methodist Church in Collinsville and the Business and Professional Women's Club.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 30, in Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 31, at First United Church in Collinsville, with Rev. Mark Horn officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Anderson Hospital Auxiliary or Relais Bonne Eau. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.herrfuneral.com.
Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville is in charge of arrangements.
