Cleo Marie Haddock, 92, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:10 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born June 28, 1922 in McGee, Missouri, a daughter of the late Robert Thomas and Cecil Della (McDaniel) Young.
She married Eugene "Pete" Haddock in 1954 in White Salmon, Washington and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1992.
She was of the General Baptist faith and will be remembered for the love and special times she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Barbara Haddock of Granite City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marian Haddock Clinton of Colleyville, Texas and Connie and Charlie Bosworth of Glen Carbon; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Amy Haddock, Keith and Brenda Haddock, Paul and Kathy Knobbe, Chris and Jenny Bosworth and Kyle Bosworth; seven great grandchildren, Emily, Erika, Kayla, Nicholas, Faith, John and Aaron; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Edna Jackson of Advance, Missouri, Mildred Wilhite of Chaffee, Missouri, Wilma and Jim Hinkle of Greenville, Tennessee and Ed Earon of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Alexander; son-in-law, Bob Clinton; one sister, Rachel Earon and two brothers, Rudolph and Orville Young.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, July 26, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Rich Smallie officiating.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville.
