Barry Rideout Obituary

Barry L. Rideout, 68 of Edwardsville passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Anderson Hospital with his family by his side. Barry was born on November 24, 1944 in East St. Louis, IL.
He worked for and retired from (Rhodia) Monsanto in St. Louis and then became a bus driver for the Madison County Transit System for nearly 10 years. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and loved to travel. In his free time Barry loved to play golf, tennis and coach Little League Baseball. His passion was his family, especially his grandkids. Barry will be remembered for his kind heart and the devotion to his family and the many special times shared together.
He is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Dorothy (Wilkinson) Rideout, whom he married on May 7, 1966; 2 sons, Barry M. & (Lori) Rideout of Mt. Lebanon, PA, Brett Rideout & (Julie Weiss) of Glen Carbon, IL; 5 grandchildren, Abbey, Drew, Allison, Sam, Bailey; sister-in-laws, Pat & (Tom) McCosky, Kathy & (Dick) Orr; brother-in-law, Rick & (Rita) Wilkinson; and
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis & Agnes (Gould) Rideout and his brothers, David and Larry Rideout.
Friends may call on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. In celebration of his life, services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Clint Wisdom officiating.
Burial will be at Buck Road Cemetery. In memory of Barry memorials are suggested to SSM Home Health Care or the American Cancer Society.

Dorthy, Eva and I are so sorry to hear about the death of Barry. I first heard about it this morning 12-19- when a group of us reitrees got together.
