Austin Witmer Obituary

Austin A. Witmer, age 20, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
He was born on February 13, 1996, in Newark, Delaware, the son of Warren W. & Linda L. (Suppe) Witmer of Edwardsville.
Austin was currently enrolled at SIUE for the summer and fall semesters.
Along with his parents, Austin is survived by one brother, Dustin Witmer & wife Cortney of Leesburg, Virginia; his paternal grandparents, Clarence & Esther Witmer, Jr. of Greencastle, PA; and his maternal grandparents, Tilio & Linda Suppe of Newark, Delaware, & Venice, Florida; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Austin attended Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville. He was a member of the Edwardsville YMCA swim team for many years and went on to swim for the Edwardsville High School swim team before graduating in 2014.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville with Rev. John Roberts officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
The family request memorials to Edwardsville Police D.A.R.E.
