Haggerty, Edward R.*  
EXETER — Edward R. Haggerty, 85, of Exeter, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2015. at the Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, New York. He had been visiting his daughter, Maggie Arthurs, and her family when he became ill. Born in Inkerman, he was a son of the late Patrick and Mary Whelan Haggerty. Edward was a member of the former St. Mark's Parish and most recently St. Barbara Parish at St. Cecilia's Church. He was a 1946 graduate of Jenkins Township High School and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1948 where he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base. He attained the rank of master sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1952. He then worked at the International Color Corporation plant in Wilkes-Barre for 25 years and later at the Tobyhanna Army Depot until his retirement in 1994. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Patrick Haggerty and Ann Marie and Margaret Haggerty. Ed married the former Joan Rowan of Pittston Township in 1960, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 27, 2010. They are the parents of three children, Edward who resides with his wife, Judy, Rowland Heights, California; Maggie, who resides with her husband, Jim, Cooperstown; and Sean, who resides with his wife, Jill, Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Also surviving are grandchildren, Erica and Eddie Haggerty, California, Autumn and Mallory Arthurs, New Jersey, and Ryan and Katelyn Haggerty, New Jersey; his sister, Mary Ellen Craig; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecelia's Church, St. Barbara Parish, Exeter. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. WILKES-BARRE — Marie Jacobs, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Feb. 27, 2015, in St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre. She was proceded in death by husband, Jacob J. Jacobs, in 1997. Krall, Margaret L.*  
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Margaret L. Krall, formerly of Wyoming, passed away Feb. 26, 2015, in Long Island, at the age of 89. She was born in Plains Township and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Yencha. Margaret worked for McCrory's Department Store for 15 years before retiring. She loved to cook and bake; and her delicious nut roll will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Magaret was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston, until she moved to Long Island, in 2007, and then became a member of St. Frances de Chantal, Wantagh, New York. Margaret was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 1/2 years; and by her brothers, Steven, Albert, Joseph, Martin, Ambriose and Anthony; and sisters, Helen, Justine and Betty. Surviving are her beloved daughter, Margaret Galantini and son-in-law, Bill, Long Island; grandsons, Eugene and Eric and their wives, Amy and Jill; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Jessica and Alexandra. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Viewing will be 9:30 a.m. to Mass. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.

MOUNTAIN TOP — Ann M. Roulinavage, 87, of Mountain Top, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Celtic Hospice of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Cummings) Elliott. Ann was a member of St. Jude Church, Mountain Top. She worked for over 50 years in the medical field as a registered nurse. Ann was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, William; her son, James; and her daughter, Cheryl. She is survived by her son, Joseph Roulinavage and his wife, Ezra, Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Linda Roulinavage, Ashley; grandchildren, Heather, Tracey, Deanna, Brian, Krysta and Eric; and her nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Jude Church, Mountain Top. Those attending Mass go directly to the Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. LARKSVILLE — Geraldine D. Slembarski, 90, of Larksville, died at home Wednesday night, Feb. 25, 2015, surrounded by her family. The center of Gerri's life were her children. Her love and devotion to each one was endless. Her greatest joys were playing rummy with Lottie, watching the Andy Griffith Show and most importantly, being with her family. Gerri would like to bid a fond farewell to everyone she knew. Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, Walter. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Caroline, Thomas, Genevieve and Mildred; along with Gerri's best friend, Lottie. Gerri is survived by her children: daughter, Debra and her husband, Joseph, Dallas; daughter, Gail, Plymouth; son, Ronald and his wife, Mary Jo, Mountain Top. She is also survived by her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for taking such wonderful care of Gerri, and for the emotional support they provided to the family. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in All Saints Parish, Willow Street, Plymouth. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
