Arbour, Patricia "Grandma Patty" (Donlin)*
EXETER — In the early evening of Feb. 28, 2015, Patricia "Grandma Patty" Arbour passed away peacefully at Highland Manor Healthcare, with her family in attendance. Born to Virginia and William Donlin in Wilkes-Barre, Patty grew up in Forty Fort. She was a graduate of Forty Fort High School and College Misericordia. Patty was a teacher all her life. She taught elementary school and loved teaching and sharing herself with others. She was an avid reader and knitter who taught and shared her knitting skills with students from Misericordia University. She had several groups of students who joined her knitting circle and enjoyed many happy visits, passing along the art of knitting to a new generation. Patricia welcomed students into her home at Dan Flood Tower, Kingston. Patty was devoted to her three children, John, Jim and Richard; and her grandchildren, Amanda and Stephen Arbour. She is survived by her sons, Jim, Norwalk, Connecticut, Richard and his wife, Kathy, Philadelphia; and her sister, Ginger Emershaw (George), Akron, Ohio. Patricia Arbour is in heaven, reunited with her loved ones. She is dancing with the angels, no longer limited by wheelchairs or walkers. She was, and is, loved by many and brought happiness and joy to those around her. We all love you! There will be a private family celebration of Patty's life in Wilkes-Barre in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
