Thelma Eck, 86, of San Diego, Calif., and a former resident of Sweet Valley, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 20, 2013, surrounded by her son, Philip, his wife, Elsa, and her brother, Albert.
Thelma was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Oregon, a daughter of the late Victor and Sigrid Johansen.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She moved from Sweet Valley to Seattle, Wash., to care for her mother and brother, before moving to San Diego to live with her son.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Johansen; and granddaughter, Lori Young.
Surviving are sons, Earl and his wife, Barbara, of Pringle, Lee and his wife, Lillian, of Berwick, Philip and his wife, Elsa, of San Diego; her grandchildren, Christopher Eck, Shawn Eck, Matthew Eck, Amy Uter and Lisa Eck; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Interment will be in Seattle in the care of Washelli Evergreen.
