I remember this man from when I was a child. At one point when I was only 8. I was in a horrid place and to me he is the one person that saved me. I also looked up to him as a father figure. He was indeed a great man. I send my deepest condolences to his family, sincerely a waif

Dixie, Shyrlee and I hated to hear about Desmonds passing. We enjoyed every minute we could spend with him at the auction house. I loved to hear his stories and he had a lot of them. I just regret that I didn't spend more time to get to know him better. Sorry we will not be able to come to the funeral but we send our Love to you and your family Hope to see you soon. Phillip and Shyrlee Reid.

We were saddened to hear about Desmond. We enjoyed our friendship with him through the auction house; he and Dixie were always so nice and friendly and we will miss him greatly! We are in Amarillo for a wedding this weekend and regret we couldn't attend his service. Our love and prayers... Jackie and Sarah (Midland, Texas)

Desmond was a great man to know and I'm very proud to call him my uncle. He was a gentle giant and always had some good advise and was always willing to help. He will be missed greatly and will never forget him.
