SANTA ANNA Jackie Lee Hill, 70, retired ironworker and pipefitter, passed away at his home in Glen Rose Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. Jackie was born to Modena Munsell and Oscar Lee Hill Aug. 19, 1943, in Coleman, Texas. He attended Sweetwater High School from 1956 to 1960. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerry and Larry Hill. He is survived by his three children, Rhonda Hill of Fort Worth, Donniece Tollett and husband Ken of Boerne and Randy Hill of New York; sister Kay Peterson and husband Pat of Burneyville, Okla.; brother Kenny Hill and wife Kim of San Angelo; grandsons Wesley and Walker Tollett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Despite having deep Texas roots Jackie Hill traveled and worked throughout the United States during his construction career. His craft enabled him to work on some of the largest power plants in this country as well as pipefitting and welding on the Alaskan pipeline. After leaving the construction industry Jackie turned his talents to the car business in San Angelo where he became a successful salesman. Retiring to Glen Rose to pursue his lifelong passion of racing thoroughbred horses, Jackie spent the last 12 years enjoying being around his family, friends and all the animals that filled his life. Services is at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Santa Anna. Pallbearers will be Jason Rushing, Brad Holbrooks, Jackie Allen Hill, Perry Putman, Pat Peterson, and Kyle English. Arrangements are by Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

WOW just came home after 3 days in the comfort of a loving
God's walk to find the news of a classmates's death. So I thank you God for the friendship that his classmates had when Jackie was a child and thank you for letting him come back to us to know him as a man. Love U Jackie!
