SAN ANGELO Jack Wilson, 74, of San Angelo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. He was born on Nov. 7, 1939, to Lex and Sidney Henderson Wilson in Houston, Miss. A rosary service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall with burial following in Ivy Cemetery in Christoval, Texas. Fr. Joe Choutapalli will officiate. Jack was a very loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired as a Staff Sergeant after 11 years of service. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. Jack was a good cook and loved being outside in his old car or with his boys. He also loved Tuesday night poker with old friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Lundy Wilson. He is survived by his wife Georgeann; sons B.J. Wilson and Rick Wilson and his wife, Tessa; grandsons Peyton Russell and Landon Wilson and his wife, Chelsea; granddaughters Ramsey and Emilea Russell; brother Byron Wilson and his wife, Dot; sister Ruth Kendall and her husband, Bob; and his two dogs, Dudley and Maci. The family would like to thank Dr. Buddy Flynn and his staff. Pallbearers for the service will be Daryl Weishuhn, Clayton Weishuhn, Karl Weishuhn, John Hallbrooks, Dr. Buddy Flynn, and Lynn Dougherty. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the guys at CalTex, Ed Harris, B.W. Kennedy, Richard Green, Randal Schwartz and Allen Gully.
