Janice,
I have worked with Mike for about 10 years at TDH and DSHS. He was always kind giving colleagues and clients solid legal advice. A link in our OGC chain is broken but never forgotten.
As a fellow West Texan, I will miss the stories of how dry San Angelo had been lately. During our holiday party, I sat accross from Mike and we had a wonderful visit about San Angelo. You the family remain in my thoughts and prayers. Psalms 147-

It has been too many years since I heard your voice, Mike, making light of some difficulty or offering some help with the litigation that was my job, not yours, but that you were always willing to help me with.
Not everyone is created to exemplify kindness and gentleness, as you were, and many of us can't seem to learn. You had faulty hearing to overcome, and you did so with grace, never letting it anger you or keep you from doing your job.
Well done, my friend; rest in well-earned peace.
And next time I am dealt aces wired, I will play them for you.

Mike, you were kind of my mentor when I started working at the Department of Health. You were always so kind and helpful to me. I can never remember you being in anything but a good mood. I am so sorry you are gone, but you will never be forgotten. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
