This photo does capture the essence of our dear friend. Monita touched so many lives in so many ways. She was the ultimate caregiver, a whiz in the kitchen and leaves a multitude of happy memories. John, you and all the family are in our thoughts.

What wonderful memories I have of you and our fun times at Central High School and San Angelo College. The class of 62 has you in our thoughts. You will be missed.

John, please know that Monita is in a better place and a lot happier now. No more pain or trouble. I know you will miss her terribly, so stay strong.

A good high school friend, so sad we won't see Monita and her smilling face at our 50th.

Monita appreciated the love and company of her family, friends, and her pets. She had a passion for Christmas and pigs, which she shared and displayed for all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

The picture of Monita says it all--full of spirit, life and laughter. She was always kind, generous and thoughtful. She made people feel good. To this day, I never pass a "pig" something that I don't think of her! We send our best to John and her extended family. I was happy to have come to San Angelo many years ago and share time with you. Monita, you will be missed. We spent a lot of good times together over the years and even though we didn't see each other often during the last 10 years, I thought of you frequently.
Condolences to John and all of your extended family.
Love, Lee Keever Werner
