SAN ANGELO Elania "Helen" Flores, 63, of Lubbock, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in an area hospital. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Jesse Aguirre officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Elania was born June 17, 1951, in Big Spring, Texas, to Librado D. and Christina (Garcia) Flores. She served as an MHMR aide for many years. She was a second "mom" to many of her nieces and nephews and loving cousin to many others. Pallbearers will be Manuel Diaz, Brandon Flores, Anthony Flores, Luis Rico, Amos Valles, Royce Garcia, Michael Ray Flores and Israel Flores Jr. She is survived by her husband, Ricardo Fondura of Lubbock; three sisters, Margaret Diaz and husband Valentin of Hereford, Texas, Linda Valles and husband Alex and Hope Lopez and husband Harold, all of San Angelo, Texas; three brothers, Ismael Flores and wife Rosalina, Adam Flores and Randy Flores and wife Brenda, all of San Angelo, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
