Kenneth G. Doyle, 87, of San Angelo, was welcome into the arms of Christ on Friday, July 12, 2013. K.G. was born on March 13, 1926, in Crews, Texas, and grew up in Eldorado, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Melissa Mae Doyle; and 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rose Doyle of San Angelo; daughter Joan Draper and husband George; son Wayne Doyle and wife Bridget, all of San Angelo; grandsons Shaun Bishop and wife Cindy of San Angelo, Chad Bishop and wife Mary of Melissa and Will Doyle and wife Erin of San Angelo; granddaughter Claire Doyle of San Angelo; and three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan and Savannah Bishop. K.G. was blessed with a long career in the oil business, having visited and worked in some 67 foreign countries around the world. He has the distinction of driling the first oilwell in Libya in 1955 ushering in the Middle East oil industry. Many wonderful adventures and experiences followed K.G. and Rosa as they lived in such places as Libya, Iran, Egypt, Singapor and Venezuela during the 42 years of his career. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, uncled and friend, K.G. was a genuine gentlement in the truest sense of the word. Besides being with his family, his most cherished time was spent serving as Deacon at his beloved church, Glen Meadows Baptist, in San Angelo. All who knew him quickly recognized that K.G. was a true man of God, filled with His grace an confident of salvation in Christ Jesus. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, atGlen Meadows Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Roller officiating.
