SAN ANGELO Julian Howard Keeling left his family and friends for his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the age of 82. Julian was born in Tom Green County, on Jan. 3, 1932, to Armond Jordan Keeling and Leona Martin Keeling. He married Fannie Margaret Farris Jan. 18t, 1957. They spent a majority of their lives in San Angelo Texas, where they raised three children. Julian was a hardworking man that also loved his family. He served in the United States Navy for four years. Then he worked as a manager at M-System Grocery stores for several years and went on to open his own grocery store Lake View Grocery. He later went into business with his brother forming JAKE Construction that he owned for many years. After this he went to work for Seidel Inc. where he worked until he was not able to work any longer. Julian enjoyed working and was successful in all he put his mind to. Julian H. Keeling was preceded in death by his loving wife Fannie of 57 years; his parents; a sister, Jerline O'Dell Hood; and two brothers, Aubrey Jean Keeling and Gaylon Wayne Keeling. He is survived by sons Jeffrey Keeling and Guy Keeling; daughter Julie Keeling; granddaughter Tisha Long and husband Michael; granddaughter Sonia Graham and husband Greggory; grandson Joshua Nandin and Jasmine Huereca; great-grandchildren Kody Long, Garret Long, Sarah Long and Sebashtian Nandin. He is also survived by two sisters, Lela Conner and husband Ray and Patsy Odstrcil and husband Stan; and two brothers, Ronald Keeling and wife Lois and Jackie Keeling. Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the funeral home with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Shaffer Funeral Home's Sherwood Way chapel. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Joshua Nandin, Michael Long, Greggory Graham, Ray Conner, Jackie Keeling and Scott Farris. Honorary pallbearers will be Kody Long, Garret Long, Sarah Long and Sebashtian Nandin. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
