SAN ANGELO Charlene Gann Rogers, 84, passed away on Dec. 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, in the funeral home chapel. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way. She was born Charlene Gann on Nov.8, 1929, to Ross and Leslie Gann on a ranch in Lea County, N.M. Her early childhood was spent on a ranch and began her lifelong loves of cowboys and horses. On April 9, 1951, she married Benny Douglas Rogers in Seaside, Calif. while he was in the Marines. They were happily married for 62 years, the last 40 years of which they lived in Robert Lee. She was a hair stylist who loved western art, flowers, nature and her family. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kay Duff of San Angelo; and a son and daughter-in-law, Mitt and LaJohnna Rogers of Rockwall, Texas. She has two granddaughters, Misty LaPane and her husband Kyle of Plano and Kristal Duff of Amarillo; and two grandsons, Wesley Duff and his wife, Janice of Pflugerville, Texas and Dustin Rogers and his wife, Erin of San Antonio. She has three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one brother, Ross Gann of Monahans, Texas. Online condolences may be made at www.shafferpioneer.com.
