SAN ANGELO Fay King Burk, 87, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in a local assisted living facility. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the funeral home chapel. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home Sherwood Way with the Rev. Ben Hubert of First Christian Church officiating. Fay was born May 9, 1926, to Robert and Katie King and was one of four children. She was married to Allen J. Burk II, who preceded her in death in 1995. They were residents of San Angelo since 1955. Fay worked in retail sales and made many friends throughout those years. Her love of antique furniture and glassware graced their home. Fay is survived by her daughter and son, Cynthia Baumann and husband Barney Baumann and Allen J. Burk III and wife Peggy; grandchildren Rusty Baumann and Kristen Billingsley and husband Reagan Billingsley; great-grandchildren Brady Billingsley and Claire Billingsley; one sister, Dorothy Harris, all of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
