A good Christian man who would give you the shirt off his back and often stopped to help a stranger in need. He was retired from the Maintenance Department with SAISD. Helvin was married to Jackie Lanham on August 17, 1961 in Rocky, Oklahoma. Helvin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and his son Timothy Wayne Hohertz.
