Norma was born to Joseph and Virgie Lena Mitchell on Feb. 8, 1930, in Lamesa, Texas. Growing up, she loved the daily duties of working on the family farm. After high school, she began working for a telephone company as a switchboard operator and worked her way up to the general office. In 1982, after 32 years of service, she retired. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Skipper Lively; and her parents, Joseph and Virgie Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter, Gailann Huffman; three grandchildren, Ricky and wife Tiffany, Erin and friend Austin Miller and William and wife Libby Huffman; and three great-grandchildren, Diamond, Sabrina and Ricky Jr., all of San Angelo.
