SAN ANGELO Virginia Sue Smith Thigpen McEver, 80, of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at a family's home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dwain Morrison and Paul Wilkerson of 19th Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Virginia was born in Fort Stockton to Frank and Ethel (George) Smith on Oct. 1, 1932. She was a faithful member of 19th Street Church of Christ. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Ray; and a brother, James F. Smith. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Counts and husband Wayne of San Angelo, Sharon Rose and husband Jim of Mertzon, Sherri James and husband Ricky of Round Rock, Texas, and Shirley Hasty and husband Mark of Grape Creek; a son, Sam Thigpen and wife Sheryl of Irving, Texas; a brother, Tim Smith of Fort Worth; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Jared Thigpen, Daniel Counts, Justin James, Karl Rose, Nathaniel Rose and Mark-Allen Hasty. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a hospice or
