SAN ANGELO Sesario "Chalo" Perez Sr., 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in a local hospital. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Sesario was born on Jan. 2, 1944, in San Angelo, to Concepcion and Sara (Huizar) Perez. He was a carpenter for most of his life and continued to make birdhouses, dog houses and other projects after retiring. Chalo enjoyed fishing in his younger days and as the days grew longer. He really enjoyed watching his favorite old Westerns and Judge Judy on TV and spending time with his friends in the barrio. Chalo was the most generous friend anyone could ever hope to meet. He would help anyone and everyone never expecting a thing in return. A handshake was all he needed to make his day. No matter what he was in need of, he would never ask, but he would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. Chalo was preceded in death by four brothers; and a grandson, Sesario "Spanky" Perez III. He is survived by his daughter, Rosalie (Daniel Ubando) Perez of Odessa; son Sesario Perez Jr.; son Adam (Edna) Perez; son Rudy (Dolores) Perez; son Danny (Margaret) Perez; son Korky (Rachel) Perez; son Sesario Chalo Perez; brother Concepcion Perez Jr.; mother of their children, Virginia Perez, all of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Shannon Hospital on 5 South.
