SAN ANGELO Edward R. Moeller, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Ed was born March 25, 1924, in Haskell County, Texas, to George Sr. and Amanda Moeller. He was owner and operator of Moeller Service & Repair in Wall, Texas, with his son, Dalton, for more than 40 years. Prior to this he served in the U.S. Navy in Japan during World War II and worked for Porter Henderson Implement Co. in San Angelo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers and sisters. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Melba L. Moeller; son Dalton and his wife, Marilyn, of Wall; daughter Phyllis Avants and her husband, Marshall, of San Angelo; grandchildren Melissa Howell and her husband, Brad, Dalton Moeller Jr., Scotty Steely and his wife, Laura, Gary Steely and Misty Steely; and numerous great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 16, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Service is scheduled for noon Thursday, July 17, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Rocky Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Scotty Steely, Gary Steely, Dalton Moeller Jr., Gary Conner, Roger Moeller, Loyd Klose, Jerry Don Klose and Hugh Pieser. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Henderson, Ronnie Thompson, Larry Tiechlmann, Billy Don Tiechlmann, Jerrod Gray, Anthony Sandoval and Micheal Steely.
