SAN ANGELO Noe S. Hogeda Sr., 58, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Noe was born on May 21, 1957, to Henry Hogeda and Alicia Serrano Andrade. Noe married his high school sweetheart, Linda Garza, on Aug. 18, 1984. Noe was the father of four: Noe Jr., Lisa, Eric and Samantha Hogeda. He worked as a mechanic at Angelo Import and later devoted 31 years as a service lineman for West Texas Utilities/AEP. When he was not outside grilling, he enjoyed spending the day on the golf course with his sons, Eric and Noe Jr., and all his golf buddies. He surprised us all with his strength, determination and will to win his battle with lymphoma, fighting to hold on until the day the Lord called him home. We miss him dearly but are comforted knowing he is no longer in pain and we will forever cherish the many memories we have with him. Noe was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha G. Hogeda. He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Hogeda; son Noe S. Hogeda Jr. and wife Amanda; daughter Lisa C. Hogeda; son Eric M. Hogeda; father Henry Hogeda and wife Ofelia; mother Alicia Andrade and husband Johnny; brothers Richard and Henry Jr. Hogeda; sisters Elva Harness and husband Gary, Gloria Saenz and husband Roland, Karen Baretto and husband Rico, Rosa Torres and husband Steve; Tio Genio Serrano; and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, family and friends. Our family would like to thank all who have reached out to Noe and his loved ones throughout his diagnosis. We thank you for all your prayers, acts of kindness and visiting with him during his last years. He has left us to be with our Lord and will forever be with us in our hearts and memories. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart, 19 S. Oakes St., San Angelo, with a Catholic rosary from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
