SAN ANGELO Mildred "Millie" Meyer, age 90, of San Angelo, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in San Angelo. Mildred was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Carlsbad, Texas to Joe and Eula (Jones) Rodgers. Millie was a retired LVN, having worked at St. John's Hospital for many years. She was a volunteer for 15 years at St. John's and Shannon Medical Center. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and was a member of the San Angelo Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church. Millie married Henry R. Meyer on April 21, 1967, in San Angelo and they had many wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters and brother. Survivors include her son, Richard Krajewski and wife Emmie and their daughter, Wendy Lammers and husband Chad, all of Reno, Nevada; niece Teri Rodgers-Pool and husband Howard Pool of Big Spring; nephew Allen Rodgers and wife Susie of Bertram; great-nieces Alicia Diaz and Amanda Diaz; and many special friends at Baptist Memorials Community. Other close friends included Carolyn Glass, Marie Whited and Jimmy and Marilyn Luthi. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Guy White officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Millie had a wonderful personality and made friends easily. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.
