LUBBOCK Service for Raedell Celeste Wills Wallace, 91, of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas. Mrs. Wallace went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. Raedell was born Sept. 18, 1922, in San Angelo, Texas, to Jay and Kathleen Wills. She graduated from high school in Eola, Texas. She married H.G. Wallace Jr. in July 1939, in San Angelo, Texas. Raedell was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, loyal member of the Red Raider Club and was an avid Texas Tech fan. Her primary focus was always on her husband and family; she had a servant's heart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lubbock for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harlan J. Wills; and grandson Douglas Anthony Akin. Loved ones include her husband of 75 years, H.G. Wallace Jr.; brother Hal B. Wills and wife Ann of Jacksonville, Florida; her children, Shirley Ann Watkins and husband Ken, San Angelo, Texas, and Marilyn Kay Hamner and husband Hank, Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren,Wallace Wayne Watkins, Susan Kay Webb and husband Brian and Jonathan Chris Crosson and wife Jacque; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
