Sharon Doege McCrohan

SAN ANGELO On Tuesday morning, May 8, 2012, Sharon Doege McCrohan, 55, quietly and peacefully took the hands of the angels to depart this world for eternal life with Jesus. Sharon was born Oct. 5, 1956, in Seguin, Texas, to Burnie Alvin and Dorothy Jenkins Doege. She married Charlie McCrohan III on May 14, 1982. She was preceded in death by her father. To know her was to love her. She was a kind and gentle person who loved unconditionally and had a sweet, forgiving nature. She was devoted to her husband and children, Michelle and Jason; and her grandson/second son, Damontry, held a special place in her heart. Survivors include her husband of the home in Grape Creek; daughter Michelle Williams and husband Marshall; son Jason McCrohan, all of San Angelo; mother Dorothy Willie; sister Barbara Doege; brother Paul Doege and wife Karen, all of Big Lake; sister Debbie Mitchell and husband Anthony of Marshall, Texas; and brother Donnie Doege of San Angelo. Also surviving are grandchildren Damontry Walton and Kylee Williams of San Angelo; father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Wyvon McCrohan; brothers-in-law Loren Stewart and wife Lynn of Christoval, Thomas McCrohan and wife Rhoda of Denison; and many special nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, in Pioneer Memorial Park located in Grape Creek with Mike Andress, chaplain of Hospice of San Angelo, officiating. At the family's request there will be no visitation. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek. The family gratefully appreciates the many calls and prayers for Sharon in the past few weeks. Memorials may be made of Hospice of San Angelo, to whom the family will forever be grateful.
