SAN ANGELO Wyvon Stewart McCrohan, 78, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at her home. Visitation will be all day Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at the funeral home with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Shaffer Funeral Home's Pioneer Chapel with Chaplin Mike Andress officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy McCrohan, Jason McCrohan, Sean Stewart, Damontry Walton, John Talley and Scott Talley. Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Park. Services are entrusted to Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek. Wyvon was born in San Angelo on Jan. 15, 1935, to Regan and Marie (Allensworth) Stewart. She graduated from San Angelo High School. She married Charlie McCrohan on Dec. 29, 1962, and they shared 50 wonderful years together. Wyvon retired from GTE and Region XV Education Center. Wyvon never missed an opportunity to be with her family and friends. She loved attending baseball and football games with her sons and grandchildren. She was a member of Christoval Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her family there. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Nova McCrohan; her daughter, Lisa Marie McCrohan; sisters Rose Mason and her husband, Roy, Patsy Cayton and Loretta Cook and her husband, Elwood; daughter-in-law Sharon McCrohan; brothers-in-law Clarence Georg and Jack McCrohan; and sister-in-law Patricia Wilson. Wyvon is survived by her husband, Charlie McCrohan of San Angelo; three sons, Loren (Lynn) Stewart of Christoval, Charlie W. McCrohan III of San Angelo and Tommy McCrohan and wife Rhoda of Dennison; brother Dennis Stewart and wife Jean; four grandchildren, Michelle Williams, Jason McCrohan, Sean Stewart and wife Jamie and Amber Weatherby and husband Jed; two stepgrandchildren, Chance Furnace and Jeremy Burchell; two great-grandchildren, Damontry Walton and Kylie Williams; brothers-in-law Hyatt Cayton of Seminole, Okla., Mike McCrohan of Kerrville, Dennis McCrohan and wife Jacque of Bronte, Wylie Wilson of San Angelo and Sharon Georg of Kennedy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; along with two special nieces and their families, Carilyn Talley and Marilyn Fairchild.
